Quote of the Day

... Local, state, and federal authorities teamed up to bust the brothel network that operated out of high-end apartment and condo buildings in December 2023. In March, Toner, a lawyer, former teacher, and labor leader, was named as one of 28 men who frequented the brothel and allegedly paid for sex. Prosecutors said they brought charges against the 28 men (out of 2,800) who had the most communications via phone calls and text messages with the brothel. For Toner, that was 432 calls and texts. Police said Toner paid for sex at least 13 times between February and September 2023.
Cambridge city Councilor Paul Toner, who is facing criminal charges for his alleged involvement as a frequent customer of a brothel ring that operated in Cambridge and Watertown, announced on social media Monday he will not seek reelection in November.
