MBTA Releases Private Fixed Routes Survey, Encourages Feedback from Routes 712, 713, 714, 716 Riders

The MBTA today announced that its second biannual Private Fixed Routes Survey is available for feedback beginning today. Aimed at engaging with riders to improve the service and routing of Bus Routes 712, 713, 714, and 716, the MBTA is encouraging riders of these routes to send their comments to the MBTA at MBTA.com/PrivateFixedRouteSurvey.



Bus Routes 712, 713, 714, and 716 are fixed bus routes that are operated by private contractor services. The objectives of the Private Fixed Routes Survey are to:




  • Understand the desired origins/destinations of riders who use these bus routes 

  • Identify any destinations riders would like improved connections with 

  • Obtain service-related feedback from riders so the MBTA can further improve their journeys

  • Assess how satisfaction rates have changed from 2024 to 2026 following service changes that have been implemented, including the service improvement pilot on the 714 and 716 



The survey will be available until the MBTA has received its target response rate. Participants will be entered into a raffle to receive a $20 Visa gift card.
