BOSTON, Mass. — Boston attorney Samuel A. Segal has been elected president of the Massachusetts

Bar Association (MBA) for the 2026-27 membership year, which begins on Sept. 1, 2026. During his

term as president, Segal will work to promote the foundational benefits of MBA membership, including

opportunities for mentorship, education and public service, which he credits for helping him establish

his own successful law practice.

“I want every single attorney in the MassBar and hopefully across the commonwealth to have an easy

answer to the question, ‘Why have a membership in the MBA?’ The answer is that it supports my

business, it educates me, and it gives me opportunities to give back,” he said.

Segal is a personal injury attorney with over 15 years of litigation experience representing injured

parties. He worked for five years at Breakstone, White & Gluck PC before opening his own practice, the

Law Offices of Samuel A. Segal, in 2015.

In addition to serving as MBA president, Segal is the former chair of both the MBA Young Lawyers

Division and Lawyer Referral Service Committee. He regularly volunteers for both the MBA's Dial-A-

Lawyer and Mock Trial programs, and he received the MBA's Volunteer Recognition Award in 2016.

Outside of the MBA, Segal is the former chair of the Committee on Outreach to Young Lawyers and the

Technology & New Media Standing Committee for the American Bar Association Tort Trial &

Insurance Practice Section. He also previously served as national affiliates director of the ABA Young

Lawyers Division.

Segal is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law and Arcadia University. He also is proud

to share that he is beloved of his rats and two adopted cats, and he has a special place in his heart for all

exotic pets. Earlier in his career, Segal worked in the live animal center at the Academy of Natural

Sciences in Philadelphia. He is trained in falconry and reptile/snake handling.
