Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Celebrates Miceal Chamberlain, Bank of America, as New Board Chair, Honors Previous Chair Corey Thomas
Boston, MA – The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce is proud to celebrate the new Chair of the Board of Directors, Miceal Chamberlain, President of Massachusetts, Northeast Region Executive, Global Commercial Banking at Bank of America.
Chamberlain succeeds Corey Thomas, Executive Chairman of Rapid7, who contributed impactful leadership and service to the Chamber Board and community. Chamberlain begins his term at a pivotal time for the region as the Chamber advances its agenda focused on economic development and competitiveness.
“It is an honor to serve as Chair of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Board at such an important time for our Commonwealth,” said Miceal Chamberlain. “The region’s economy and communities have always been strengthened by collaboration between the business community and government partners. Corey has been a great leader, and I look forward to building on the Chamber’s momentum from recent years to support economic growth, expand opportunity, and ensure our region remains one of the best places in the world to live, work, and operate a business.”
As Board Chair, Chamberlain will work closely with James E. Rooney, Executive Committee, and Board to continue driving forward strategic initiatives, including efforts to expand workforce development, address housing challenges, support business, and strengthen the region’s economic competitiveness on a national and global stage.

During his time as Board Chair, Thomas played a key role in strengthening the Chamber’s engagement across sectors, advancing policy priorities regarding AI, business growth, and reinforcing the Chamber as a convener and catalyst for the region.
“It has been a privilege to serve as Board Chair and to work alongside such a dedicated and visionary business community,” said Corey Thomas. “Together, we have strengthened the Chamber’s voice, supported our members through complex challenges, and advanced an agenda focused on long-term competitiveness.
