UMass Memorial Health Receives $250,000 Grant From Bank of America to Support the North Pavilion

WORCESTER, MassachusettsM.A. – UMass Memorial Health today announced it has received a two hundred fifty thousand dollar$250,000 Anchor Grant from Bank of America. This significant funding will advance expansion of the state-of-the art North Pavilion, part of UMass Memorial Medical Center. This marks the first corporate gift toward the North Pavilion philanthropic campaign.
“We are grateful to Bank of America for this generous contribution,” said Justin Precourt, President of UMass Memorial Medical Center. “This investment helps support the expansion of the North Pavilion, enabling us to provide high-quality care to more patients while addressing growing capacity needs.”
The North Pavilion currently has 72 private patient rooms for acute care, with a focus on chronic disease management. The facility was designed with shell space to accommodate 24 additional patient beds, and this expansion will complete those rooms.
“At Bank of America, we know growing communities need access to high-quality medical care,” said Michael Garand, President of Bank of America Worcester. “We’re proud to partner with UMass Memorial Health to help expand the North Pavilion to better serve our community.”
The new rooms are expected to open in summer 2027.
