BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New England District, advises mariners and visitors that there are no scheduled events or parades of tall ships occurring at the Cape Cod Canal. While some of the smaller sailing vessels participating in Sail4th 250 in New York and Sail Boston may transit the Canal between the two events from July 8 and July 10, 2026, there is no set schedule for viewing. Vessels will transit the Canal independently and timing will vary based on many factors along the trip from New York to Boston.

Despite the lack of a formal event, mariners and visitors are advised to be prepared for potentially increased vessel traffic and public activity in and around the Cape Cod Canal due to increased public interest during this period. Federal, State and Local public safety agencies will be on hand to assist as necessary, enforce all applicable regulations, ensure public safety, and facilitate the safe and efficient movement of vessel traffic on the waterway.
