Statement from Congressman Moulton Opposing War With Iran

SALEM, MA - Congressman Seth Moulton (MA-06) has issued the following statement opposing the use of U.S. military force against Iran.

"Trump is preparing to attack Iran and draft America into an Iraq War 2.0. What does he think he will achieve, and at what cost? So far, we have no idea.

"When Trump tells us that he’s putting our troops’ lives on the line because Iran refused to make a deal on its nuclear program, let’s not forget that the only reason we don’t have a deal is because Trump tore it up in his first term.

"Now it’s up to Congress to find more backbone than it did when George W. Bush misled America into Iraq.

"And if Trump starts another war, and Congress won’t stop him, then it’s time for the American people to hold both accountable. It’s remarkable how many who voted for the Iraq War are still there."
