BACKGROUND: Massachusetts Sierra Club Executive Committee recently took a unanimous vote calling for the immediate demotion of Representative Mark Cusack from his chairmanship on the Telecommunications, Utilities, and Energy Committee.
“This vote is a response to member-led anger at the state’s actions and messaging capitulating to the Trump and MAGA Republican agenda. Representative Cusack has demonstrated a complete disregard for the health, well-being, and economic interests of the residents of the Commonwealth when he proposed legislation to roll back Massachusetts’ critical climate commitments,” said Vick Mohanka, director of Sierra Club Massachusetts.
