Charles River Watershed Association announces four new staff members

BOSTON, MA – Charles River Watershed Association (CRWA) is excited to announce the addition of four new staff members to its team.

Jon Flynn  joins as legal director, responsible for developing and implementing bold legal and policy strategies to conserve and to restore the Charles River watershed.  Flynn has over two decades of experience as an attorney in private practice and government. In private practice, he advised clients on a wide range of regulatory compliance and government enforcement matters including financial market reform, electric grid resilience, and renewable energy standards. In government, Flynn served as a policy advisor at the Securities and Exchange Commission where he helped to implement regulatory reforms mandated under the Dodd-Frank Act following the 2007-08 financial crisis.

Pradeep Gyawali joins as senior finance and operations manager, overseeing financial and operational systems, administration, and internal controls to ensure efficiency, compliance, and transparency. He brings more than a decade of experience in both nonprofit and for-profit finance, covering budgeting, audits, grant management, and team leadership. Before his current role, Gyawali led finance and operations functions at nonprofit organizations, where he managed full-cycle accounting, budgets, financial systems, workflows, and internal controls to meet regulatory and audit requirements.

Tyler Chase Ellison joins as stormwater project manager, leveraging his expertise to advance CRWA’s mission of strengthening stormwater regulations, advancing green stormwater projects, eliminating combined sewer overflows, and establishing climate-adaptation stormwater standards for all communities along the Charles River and across the Charles River watershed. Before joining CRWA, Ellison held the roles of environmental construction project manager for Empire Landscape, Inc., an Ecological Restoration Company near Washington, D.C., and stormwater coordinator for the Town of Farragut (TN) Engineering Department.

Bobby Nicotera joins as development operations associate, supporting data administration, sponsorship management, client communications, and donor event planning. He brings a strong eye for detail and a collaborative approach to managing fundraising campaigns, coordinating logistics, and maintaining accurate donor records. Prior to joining CRWA, Nicotera worked as a Marketing Assistant at Hemenway & Barnes LLP, where he supported branded communications, high-end events, and digital marketing strategies for attorneys and leadership teams.
