UMass Dartmouth Police Department earns reaccreditation from the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission

The Division of Student Affairs is proud to announce that the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission (MPAC) has once again recognized the UMass Dartmouth Police Department for its professional excellence.



Under the leadership of Chief John Souza, and with Officer Amanda Mullaly serving as Accreditation Manager alongside a dedicated team of staff, the department successfully met the rigorous 6th Edition MPAC standards. This achievement reflects the department's collective effort and its unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and accountability.



Accreditation symbolizes the continued pursuit of excellence, public trust, and transparency. It holds the department accountable to a recognized set of best practices, ensuring that the safety of the UMass Dartmouth community remains the top priority. Through accreditation, the department demonstrates dedication to continuous improvement, operational integrity, and community partnership.
