Effie’s Homemade Gruyère Biscuit Named sofi™ Award Gold Finalist

Newest Flavor Builds on Brand’s Legacy of Handcrafted Excellence

Hyde Park, Massachusetts (October 21, 2025) – Effie’s Homemade, maker of crisp, buttery, and lightly sweet biscuits with a finish of salt, is a gold finalist for the Specialty Food Association’s coveted sofi™ Award for its Gruyère Biscuit, launched last year.

Produced in small batches with aged Gruyère cheese, Effie’s Gruyère Biscuits offer the nutty richness of the Alpine cheese, finished with a kick of black pepper. While introducing something new to the category, these artisanal biscuits remain approachable and are perfect for cheese boards or an indulgent snack. Their delicate crunch and depth of flavor make them a versatile companion to cured meats, fruit spreads, and a wide variety of beverages.

“We’re honored to be one of seventy-five sofi™ Award gold finalists for our Gruyère biscuit among the nearly 1,300 applicants, particularly as this award is recognized as one of the most prestigious honors in the specialty food industry,” begins Joan MacIsaac, Effie’s Homemade co-founder. “The rich, buttery crunch, nutty cheese, and twist of black pepper have already made the Gruyere Biscuit one of our best sellers,” MacIsaac states.

Effie’s Homemade Gruyère biscuit will be on display with the brand’s full product range at Winter FancyFaire* booth #3107 in San Diego, CA from January 11-13, 2026.
