Chex Finer Foods Celebrates 60 Years of Pioneering, Partnership, and Growth
OCTOBER 20, 2025
Mansfield, MA — October 14, 2025 — Chex Finer Foods, a third-generation, family-owned specialty and natural foods distributor, proudly celebrates its 60th anniversary — marking six decades of fueling growth for retailers and brands across the East Coast.
What began in 1965 as a small operation out of a garage in Sharon, Massachusetts, has grown into a regional value-added distributorserving more than 1,000 retail locations from Maine to Florida. Through every chapter, Chex has stayed true to its founding promise: to deliver excellence through quality, partnership, and service.
“This milestone is more than an anniversary — it’s a celebration of the people, relationships, and values that have shaped who we are,” said Jeremy Isenberg, President and CEO of Chex Finer Foods. “For 60 years, Chex has helped customers and suppliers succeed by leading with trust, care, and collaboration. That’s the heart of our business — and the foundation for our future.”
A Legacy of Family and Partnership
Chex was founded by Jay and Dorothy Isenberg, later joined by their son David, with a simple but powerful vision — to bring exceptional specialty products to market with integrity and entrepreneurial spirit. From the start, Chex was built on strong relationships and a forward-thinking mindset that propelled decades of growth as the specialty food industry took shape.
Today, under the 3rd generation family leadership of Jeremy and Michael Isenberg, Chex continues to evolve — combining the agility and care of a family business with the sophistication of a strategic distribution partner.
A New Chapter of Growth
In 2025, Chex entered its next phase of expansion through a partnership with Paine Schwartz Partners, a leading global food and agribusiness investment firm. This collaboration brings fresh resources, technology, and expertise to accelerate Chex’s growth — expanding its geographic footprint, deepening category expertise, and enhancing the value it delivers to both retailers and suppliers.
“Together with Paine Schwartz, we’re writing the next chapter of Chex — one defined by innovation, scale, and the same human touch that’s driven us since my grandparents founded Chex in 1965. This is truly an exciting moment for Chex as we celebrate 60 years of partnership and set our sights on accelerated growth ahead.” Jeremy Isenberg added.
More Than a Distributor
Operating from its headquarters in Mansfield, Massachusetts, Chex Finer Foods delivers a curated portfolio of specialty and natural products to independent grocers, co-ops, natural food stores, and regional and national chains. Beyond distribution, Chex provides marketing support, sales insights, in-store merchandising, and data-driven category management — helping retailers and suppliers thrive in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
As Chex celebrates 60 years, the company remains energized by what’s ahead — further expanding its leadership team, investing in technology, expanding partnerships, and championing innovation — all while staying rooted in the same values that have guided three generations of leadership.
“Our story has always been about people — the relationships we’ve built and the trust we’ve earned,” said President and CEO Jeremy Isenberg. “That’s what makes Chex special. It’s what will carry us through the next 60 years.”
