Lift Our Kids Hearing Tuesday, September 16th, at 1:00pm

We have some exciting news! A hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 16th at 1:00 pm for An Act to Lift Kids Out of Deep Poverty, filed by Senator DiDomenico and Representative Decker, and I hope you will join us in supporting this bill!

There are several ways you can help us in our advocacy:

3. Send me an email telling me why we need to pass the Lift Our Kids Bill in Massachusetts. I may include your blurb in our organizational testimony.

Why is this bill important?



• For 20 years, the maximum TAFDC grant for a family of 3 with no income was $593 a month. For over 30 years, the EAEDC grant level was stuck at just $303 a month for an older adult or person with a disability with no income.The Lift Our Kids bill will provide annual increases to cash grants to reflect and keep up with inflation.
