Boston Children’s Under Federal Investigation for Child Mutilation

Over the past two months, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) have launched investigations into several children’s hospitals that provide sex-change procedures for minors. The FBI is conducting a criminal investigation while the FTC investigates potential deceptive trade practices. Among the hospitals being investigated is the renowned Boston Children’s Hospital and its Gender Multispecialty Service (GeMS).
GeMS provides “gender-affirming care” including hormones, puberty blockers, plastic surgery, and genital surgery. They offer breast augmentation for patients as young as 15 with parental consent and were exposed by Libs of TikTok in 2022 for providing genital surgeries to minors. You can read more about the truth behind “gender-affirming care” in our blog post here.
The FBI investigation into GeMS follows United States Attorney General Pam Bondi’s memorandum titled “Preventing the Mutilation of American Children.” The memorandum stated that performing, attempting, or conspiring to perform genital mutilation on a minor would be considered a felony, and the FBI would begin to pursue “every legitimate lead” on these cases.
Additionally, the FTC recently held a workshop titled “The Dangers of ‘Gender-Affirming Care’ for Minors” in which a panel of speakers from all sides of the political spectrum came together to address the dangers of these procedures.
Two of the speakers, Simon Amaya Price and his father, shared about how Simon was encouraged to transition to a female at age 14 by practitioners from Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) as a solution to his anxiety and depression.
After the hearing, the FTC requested public comment “to better understand how consumers may have been exposed to false or unsupported claims about ‘gender-affirming care,’ especially as it relates to minors, and to gauge the harms consumers may be experiencing” no later than Friday, September 26, 2025 by 11:59pm ET. If you or someone you know has been harmed by “gender-affirming care,” submit your comments here.
It’s easy for parents to blindly trust the “professionals” when it comes to their children – but more and more evidence is showing just how risky that can be. We have sounded the alarm on the dangers of “gender-affirming care” for a while now, covering Boston Children’s GeMS program and how MassHealth spent $7.6 million on “gender transition” treatments for children.
Since we’ve been keeping an eye on Boston Children’s, we’ve noticed a few notable names that keep appearing – Dr. Jeremi Carswell, Dr. Oren Ganor, and Dr. Elizabeth Boskey. These individuals are all well known for their work with GeMS, and we think parents should be aware of the influence that doctors like them can have on the minds and bodies of gender-confused youth.
GeMS Director Dr. Jeremi Carswell was mentioned in the FTC panel, but curiously, she does not appear in the BCH directory. Additionally, our investigation found that the GeMS staff page no longer exists. Here’s the page from the wayback machine:

Though the GeMS staff page may no longer be active, those engaging in LGBTQ+ research are still listed on BCH’s LGBTQ+ Equality page – including Dr. Carswell and others from the GeMS program as seen above, confirming she still works at Boston Children’s.
However, Dr. Carswell’s bio is the only one with no content.

If Dr. Carswell still works at the hospital, why is she not found in the directory and why does she not have a bio? And, if BCH is so proud of their GeMS program, why is its director hidden from the public eye?
Perhaps some of Dr. Carswell’s alarming statements, including statements on puberty blockers being given to minors “like candy,” did not age well given the new FBI investigation.
Another doctor, Dr. Oren Ganor, listed as a Co-Director for the Center for Gender Surgery at BCH, will likely also be subject to this FBI investigation.
In addition to being featured in Boston Children’s GeMS promo videos, which the hospital has since removed, Dr. Ganor is the surgeon responsible for an individual named Griffin Sivret’s “gender-affirming” surgery. This surgery resulted in years of complications and ultimately led to her death. Read more about her story on the MIP Substack.
Griffin is not the only one who has faced the dangerous consequences of Dr. Ganor’s “gender-affirming” surgery. Here’s a Reddit post addressing another incident with Dr. Ganor:

It is clear that these surgeries are not as safe as many claim they are. Teaching children and parents that mental health issues can be fixed by mutilating their bodies is evil disguised as compassion. Medical professionals like Dr. Ganor who vow to do no harm must be held accountable for the harm they cause.
Another such individual is Dr. Elizabeth Boskey who was listed as a Boston Children’s employee engaging in LGBTQ+ research. But, who exactly is she?

According to the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health, Dr. Boskey is the founder and former leader of the New England Gender Care Consortium. This organization’s mission is to promote “gender-affirming care” provider collaboration, as well as “strengthening advocacy and policy, increasing training opportunities across the spectrum of care, standardizing care, and building and supporting sustainable and ethical research.”
Dr. Boskey, who has a sex blog and has published papers on topics such as polyamory and genital surgeries, has also co-authored papers with Dr. Carswell and Dr. Ganor and was featured in a BCH video where she stated that sometimes all an individual needs is a “fabulous attitude…to present themselves as their affirmed gender.”
As the Trump administration cracks down on minor mutilation procedures, we are hopeful that change will come to Massachusetts. Already, the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles’s youth gender clinic has closed, and Stanford Medicine has halted gender-surgeries for patients under age 19. Yale New Haven Health and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center have also announced that they will be ending their “gender-affirming care” services. We pray that Boston Children’s Hospital’s GeMS program follows suit. Given the ongoing FBI investigation, this is more likely to become reality.
We applaud these efforts towards bringing justice and transparency to the Commonwealth, and will be keeping an eye on this investigation as it unfolds.
