Massachusetts families are being crushed by rising energy bills—and Governor Maura Healey’s reckless policies are to blame.
While Beacon Hill politicians continue to pass costly mandates and drive up the cost of living, the Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance is doing what few others are willing to do: naming names and showing the public exactly who is responsible.
That’s why we brought veteran journalist Jason Crosby on board earlier this year as our new Media Director. Jason spent decades in television broadcast journalism, and he’s now using those skills to expose the truth behind Beacon Hill’s tax-and-spend agenda.
MassFiscal has invested tremendous resources to meet people where they are—on their social media pages. Jason is responsible for creating short videos, often times chasing down powerful politicians, and asking them tough questions. The videos are then published on MassFiscal’s social media pages for the public to see.
The result? In just the last 100 days, our social media videos have generated over 12 million views—reaching millions of taxpayers with hard-hitting, informative content.
Here are just a few recent highlights from our video work:
- “Remember I stopped two gas pipelines from coming into this state!” — The quote from Governor Healey that ignited over a million views. As she scrambles to distance herself from the energy crisis she helped create, MassFiscal is making sure taxpayers remember exactly how we got here.
- Shining a light on outrageous proposals like Senator Cynthia Creem’s bill to track, tax, and restrict how much you’re allowed to drive. Yes, seriously—Beacon Hill politicians are coming for your steering wheel.
- Confronting Governor Healey during her press conference. I joined Jason, and the two of us tried to ask the Governor how much her NetZero by 2050 mandate will cost the ratepayers and who will pay for it. The Governor refused to answer us, and her staff tried to block us, and we caught it all on camera.
- Calling out Governor Healey’s reckless tax package, including new taxes on candy, prescription drugs, and a plan to let towns triple your vehicle excise tax—because in her world, everything is taxable.
Thanks to this bold content—and the public pressure it generated—many of Healey’s worst tax proposals were stripped from the final budget, including the deeply unpopular candy tax and her prescription drug tax scheme.
We’re not just talking about fiscal responsibility—we’re showing it in action. And we’re holding elected officials accountable in a way they can’t ignore.
But to keep this momentum going, we need your help.
