Massachusetts's energy and environmental agencies and programs are key to stewarding our natural resources, protecting wildlife, advancing air quality, and meeting our emissions reduction targets. Will you join us to advocate for robust environmental funding during the Senate budget debate?

In April, hundreds of you joined us to advocate for crucial climate funding in the FY26 House Budget — now, we need your help calling on the Senate to act. As the state budget process continues, the ELM Action Fund is thankful for the proposal offered by the Senate Ways and Means Committee, which includes core funding for a number of our priorities. In a challenging time for state tax revenues, it is imperative that we continue the progress being made on climate and conservation work to the greatest extent possible.

Please ask your state senator to support amendments that prioritize:

  • Continued progress toward our state’s clean energy goals

  • Statewide trail networks and state parks

  • Ongoing toxic PFAS testing and mitigation

  • Management of the state’s air quality and low-emission vehicle programs

  • Improving climate resilience

  • Updating siting and permitting frameworks for clean energy

  • Implementing our state’s biodiversity goals

These amendments provide needed resources to take on statewide challenges and provide critical services that will protect our resources and wildlifegrow our green economy, and take climate action.
