The Providers’ Council Celebrates 50 Years of Impact

APRIL 24, 2025

On April 16, the Providers’ Council gathered 200 of its members and stakeholders from around the sector to celebrate 50 Years of Impact at Top of the Tower in Worcester.

The Council began the night with its Annual Membership & Business Meeting (AMBM), during which the Council reviewed the organization’s financial reports, heard from Council committees and discuss the successes achieved by the organization and its members in 2024. The Council approved three new board members, including Leah Bradley, Central MA Housing Alliance; Craig Gordon, Communities for People; and Shannon Rudder, Martin Luther King Jr. Family Services.

Directly after the event, the Council began its 50th anniversary celebration. The celebration featured speakers from around the sector including former President & CEO of the Council, Michael Weekes, Tammy Mello, President & CEO of Key Program and Doneshia Jaminson, Director of Operations at BAMSI who all spoke to the past, present and future of the Council and the sector. The Council also heard from Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll, who shared her remarks regarding the importance of the sector with attendees.

During the event the Council also announced its “50 for 50” scholarship fund in recognition of its 50th anniversary. Of the ticket price, $50 went directly to support the “50 for 50” fund and help provide scholarships for Providers’ Council member employees. Scholarship recipients will be recognized at our 50th Annual Convention & Expo on Monday, October 6, 2025. To learn more about this initiative and show your support, please click here.
