National Blood Crisis And Local Opportunities To Help:

The Red Cross says they are experiencing the worst blood shortage in more than 10 years. This low blood supply has forced some hospitals to defer patients from needed surgeries, even organ transplants. Blood and platelet donations are critically needed.
