Former Boston News Anchor Joins Eversource Media Relations:



BOSTON, Mass. (August 17, 2021) – Former journalist Chris McKinnon has been named Senior Media Relations Specialist at Eversource, the energy company announced today. Bringing more than a decade of television news experience to the role, McKinnon will serve as a spokesperson based out of Eastern Massachusetts. Most recently, he was a reporter for WHDH-TV in Boston and anchored the morning news at WBZ-TV.

During his career in Boston news, McKinnon was driven by helping people and getting to the bottom of issues that impacted Massachusetts residents every day. He will bring that same commitment to Eversource as part of the company’s efforts to continually improve customer service. A graduate of the University of Southern California, McKinnon spent several years breaking major news stories in Colorado and Oklahoma City before the opportunity to report on his hometown brought him back to Boston.



Originally from Melrose, MA, McKinnon lives with his fiancé and their dog “Dougie” in Boston.
