Tell owner Vincent Frattura: Meet with unjustly fired workers
At the beginning of 2020, before the pandemic, and despite the family values Hoff’s Bakery owner Vincent Frattura claims to hold close, Hoff’s management fired a group of long-time workers and had them apply through a temp agency, Masis Staffing Solutions. Since the pandemic has pushed thousands of black and brown womxn out of the workforce, the immigrant womxn workers were left with few options; in order to continue working after their terminations at Hoff’s, they were instructed to apply for employment under Masis Staffing. After 2 months of working at Hoff’s under Masis Staffing, they were fired without explanation
We are demanding a meeting to obtain an explanation for the blatant disregard for the livelihood of these families. We are also asking that Vincent provide restitution in the form of severance pay. Add your voice to the petition here.
Contact your Legislators in support of Baystate Home Health Nurses!
Since last fall, Baystate Home Health (BHH) nurses— nurses who provide in-home care to those recovering from illness, injury, or surgery— have been attempting to negotiate a new contract with Baystate management, but Baystate management continues to put forward takeaway proposals to cut pay, sick time, and other benefits, which would increase turnover and negatively impact BHH nurses' ability to deliver the care patients deserve.
This is no time to try and take hard-earned pay and benefits away from our frontline workers. Join Massachusetts Jobs with Justice in asking our legislators to show their support for frontline caregivers at Baystate Home Health here.
Tell Governor Baker: Don’t Prop Up Polluters With Our Clean Energy $$!
Please send a letter urging Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker to withdraw his proposed rule changes that will poison the air and undermine our state’s clean energy goals by paving the way for a massive wood-burning biomass power plant to be built in East Springfield. Tell Governor Baker that Massachusetts doesn’t want him to roll back our renewable energy standards - fill out this form to send him a letter with our requests!
