Act Now to Fund Our Future

The Red for Ed movement is sweeping the country. From Los Angeles, Oakland and Denver to Oklahoma, Tennessee and West Virginia, educators are standing up for the schools, colleges and universities our students deserve. This is our Red for Ed Moment — a once-in-a-generation chance to win major funding increases for our public schools and colleges. We will win it because you are taking action.

With a few simple clicks, tell your state senator and state representative to act now.

The Promise Act (S.238/H.586) and the Cherish Act (S.741/H.1214) will provide more than $1.5 billion more per year in new state funding for public schools and colleges. They are the only bills that will fully fund our public schools and colleges. That is why the Fund Our Future Campaign supports them.

We've got an exciting week of action coming up. Let's turn up the heat on March 21 and March 22 to show the legislators that educators are united in backing these two bills.

On Thursday, March 21, come to Public Higher Education Advocacy Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the State House.
On Friday, March 22, the Legislature will hold a public hearing to hear testimony on the Promise Act and other school funding bills. Please be in Gardner Auditorium by 9 a.m. to support this legislation.
