Recipe of the Week

The Devil Inside

Adapted from the Lobby Bar at Godfrey Hotel (The Boston Globe)

Ingredients

1½ ounces Olmeca Altos Blanco 
(or any blanco tequila)

½ ounce Vida Mezcal 
(or any mezcal)

1 ounce fresh lime juice

½ ounce simple syrup 
(To make syrup: In a small saucepan over low heat, heat equal parts demerara sugar and water until sugar melts.)

3 dashes of three-pepper tincture or Tabasco sauce (To make tincture: Deseed one habanero, one jalapeno, and one Serrano pepper. Add to a mason jar of blanco tequila, let sit overnight.)

Directions

1. Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker over ice. Shake vigorously 20 seconds.

2. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice or into a cocktail glass.

3. Garnish with a lime wheel
